Bussing woes ahead of new school year in Lakewood
The newly formed LSTA Lakewood Student transportation authority will be in charge of all state mandated busing for Lakewood private schools. The school years begins this Monday and as it stands there probably will not be any busing the first few days of school. No info or bus routes have been sent to parents. In all likely-hood there wont be bussing for the beginning of next week. Additionally parents who are not eligible for Aid in lieu from the state for example if they live less then the threshold or within a half a mile they may have to pay and contribute for busing. The Township meanwhile is allocating funds that will pay for the courtesy busing portion of all public school kids in Lakewood.
