Shame on VIN

It was  merely a half hour after Chatzos on Tish B'Av day. We just got off the floor over mourning the churban and the editors over at VIN went right back to work. A story painting Lakewood in a bad light that has absolutely no relevance even "LToeles" was so important it had to be posted smack in middle of the day on Tisha Bav. Of course the title had to indicate "Lakewood man" and If the story was not enough they had to post an accompanying picture from 5 years ago to sensationalize a story that makes Lakewood look bad. Shame on VIN

  2. Before browsing that site beware that unlike other frum sites, it is an extremely agenda driven website. For one, while they cater their news towards the Yeshiva/Chasidish crowd, they promote at every occasion images of women in situations and form that are traditionally considered unaccepted in Yeshiva/Chasidish circles.

    1. You are comparing Apples to Oranges. Its unfortunately but the Internet is considered posek Acharon today. There are many avlas done in Lkwd that have not been dealt with until there was a public uproar. Take for example last year there were 9 high school girls sitting home almost 3 months after school started. The roshei Yeshivos were very upset about it but they did not have the poer to take on those who were responsible. It was only after the issue as publicized through the internet and other pashkevillin that the issue was dealt with. When nothing gets done by those in power, people get frustrated and they resort to publicize stuff in shuls, on the web and social media which is pretty effective in getting things done. An article on Vosiznieas about an old story is nothing of that sort, but anyone who follows their agenda knows what their angle is.

  4. Even more upsetting is some Lakewood askanim reach out and give statements to VIN. There was a letter written specifically against that site bt when our self appointed spokesman talk to them and give them relevancy and gives them a pass to continue with their left wing anti Torah agenda.

  5. As usual blame the blogs for pointing out the wrong that is being done. People can get up at a public meeting in the township in front of the public and talk against shuls and against yeshivos but when someone points it out the one who points it out is the Rasha.

    1. Not only can people get up and meetings against a shul, they can even hire lawyers (under someone else's name), in the name of "leshaim shomayim", to oppose a shul!
