It's time that every property pay for garbage pickup. The Township can charge a fee for those that are willing to pay it, or the owners can arrange another company if that is cheaper and more convenient. All properties that produce garbage would have to pay. Costs would obviously be higher for wedding halls and large institutions. The cost would no longer be a tax responsibility. With the removal of all free garbage services from our tax roll, and the higher cost developments no longer being serviced, we should see a considerable reduction in taxes for homeowners. I am just curious why the menorah issue regarding separation of church and state was so quickly decided to avoid a ridiculously frivolous lawsuit, yet this issue which is a very serious question whether we can allow taxpayers to pay for religious institutions operations, is ignored.
Oh right, I forgot, one only involves religious pride, the other involves money.
I think you guys (the committee) need to start thinking for yourselves, and stop doing what certain people tell you before you get us all in a lot of trouble.

Ray Coles said "the downtown is the envy of other towns, we have virtually no empty stores" yes Ray, because most of them are being rented as fronts for illegal activity. As far as the envy of other towns? I can promise you it's not. What other towns say is what anyone that knows about development says. How can you just let a downtown that has so much potential, just sit and rot. I wish you could walk into some of those stores and try and buy something. The downtown is a wreck. Stop burying your head in the sand. I think it's time for you to stop coddling the Blue Claws and either fix the downtown or knock it all down and make a central park. I worked for 15 years to revitalize the downtown and got no help from the Township committee. No cooperation in repairing our central area. Now I am done and I will be taking whatever I accomplished with me.

If you watch this video I think it is abundantly clear that Isaac Akermanis the only person fit to be on the committee.
