Traffic nightmare at Williams street, Cross strreet in Lakewood

Striking Verizon workers causing traffic  backups on Cross street, Williams Street construction  constant closures Residents fed up are calling on the township to clear it up.
from Yudels, Letter to forward:
Dear Mayor, Miller, Township Manager, LPD Chief Lawson, Township committee,
Williams St is closed too often during the day due to construction. It is the only street cutting across from James St. It causes backups in the entire area. There are no Police presence at the closures. We believe they are not authorized closures.
The closures should be at night only and for "minimum" amount of time and not frequently. It border on criminal actions against the drivers in the area.
Thanks,

  3. Lcsw only does things with an agenda. Most likely they will not be getting paid if they offered.

  4. If you think this is an issue wait till the HUNDREDS more houses come on line on Prospect that empty into cross or route 9. It will be a massive parking lot

  5. The issue has nothing to do with the striking workers theyre not blocking or slowing down traffic the issue is mainly williams being closed as well as when cars are trying to make a left into the yeshivas or prospect they block the road and cars cant go around them.
The answer youll recieve is thier working with to buy land from woodhaven to connect sunset and Massachusetts

  8. the work that was being done cant be done at night in a residential area. too much noise. i'm not 100% sure if it wouldve been possible to create space for 1 lane either. just realize this is simple construction activity. stop the complaining.
