Tax dollars: 5 Electronic digital billboards for Lakewood township

NOTICE OF AUCTION FOR THE CONSTRUCTION AND MAINTENANCE OF (5) ELECTRONIC DIGITAL BILLBOARDS FOR THE TOWNSHIP OF LAKEWOOD PLEASE TAKE NOTICE that by Ordinance No. 2016-11 the Township of Lakewood established a process to issue a permit for the construction and maintenance of an electronic digital billboard. The Township of Lakewood will conduct a public sale by way of public auction for the issuance of a total of five (5) permits for electronic digital billboards each to be auctioned
individually on June 2, 2016 at 7:15 p.m. at the Lakewood Township Municipal Building, Auditorium, 231 Third Street, Lakewood, New Jersey. The minimum acceptable bid for each permit for the electronic billboard is One Thousand Dollars and 00/100 ($1,000.00). The Township of Lakewood reserves the right not to accept any bid and to reject any and all bid offers. Bids shall be accepted only from qualified bidders and the bid shall include a fee for the permit, as well as reserving a certain amount of time, daily, for public service announcements as desired by the Township of Lakewood. The public auction for both the price of the permit and the reserved time for public service announcements for the same permit will be done simultaneously. All prospective bidders must submit qualifications and experience to the Municipal Clerk no later than five (5) business days prior to the date of the bid opening. The deadline for submission of that information is May 25, 2016. The auction for the permit may be postponed or cancelled at any time by the

    2. there is no choice. tows has no better way of broadcasting all important notices. for example,
      - Road may be slippery when ice covered

      - due to inclement weather if you don't need to drive please stay home.

      - Heat advisary! Seniors and people with medical issues should remain indoors

      - all govt. offices are closed today, to celebrate International Pickle Day

      -Warning: Reading Billboards while driving may be hazardous to your health.
