OY! who is taking achrayus? Xscape Theaters in Howell now officially open right outside Lakewood.

 On April 27th at approx 8:45 pm, Officer Joseph Przewoznik responded to the area of River Avenue and Oak Street for a motor vehicle crash involving a 2006 Toyota Sienna and a 2003 GMC Envoy.
Upon arrival, he observed two vehicles in the roadway with significant front end damage. While speaking with the operator of the Envoy, Officer Przewoznik observed that 24 yr old Zachary Maguire of Toms River was swaying and appeared to be under the influence of alcohol and or narcotics.
Further investigation determined that Maguire had crossed over into the lane of on coming traffic and struck the Toyota head on.
Fortunately, no one was seriously injured, however, Zachary Maguire was arrested and charged with Driving Under the Influence and Careless Driving. He was later released on his own recognizance.

After a month long investigation by Detective Craig Fink, the Lakewood Police Department Street Crimes Unit along with the Special Response Team, conducted a search warrant last night at a Marshall Street Home.
A search of the home resulted in the seizure of several different types of narcotics, including ecstasy, cocaine, marijuana, Percocet, Promethazine and heroin.
In addition, a loaded sawed off shotgun and a loaded .40 caliber semi automatic handgun were also found inside the home.
As a result, one of the residents, 26 year old Tarrence Tenner was charged with several weapons violations, including Possession of a Prohibited Weapon. His bail was set at $150,000 no 10%.

Additionally, 31 year old Calvin Atkins of Neptune received several charges for Possession of Controlled Dangerous substances. His bail was set at $50,000 no 10%
