  4. Dear Readers,
In order to maximize the power of our collective vote against the presumptive Presidential nominees in the upcoming Primary election, it is most prudent to choose one candidate from each political party, depending on party affiliation, for the entire Kehilla to vote for.
Since there's no official endorsements likely to come from the Lakewood VAAD in this Primary, as they generally withhold endorsements in Primary elections unless it is seriously competitive, and people have asked me who they should vote for, I will share my recommendation that Republicans vote for Ted Cruz, and Democrats vote for Bernie Sanders.
At the end of the day, our votes against the presumptive nominees won't likely upend their titanic leads, but as stated in last week's 'The Voice of Lakewood' Coffee Room, it sends a powerful message to the candidates that we're not simply following the masses who vote for them just because they are leading, but rather we are showing our displeasure with major parts of their declared policies by voting against them.
What this accomplishes is that both major party's campaigns will have to make a stop in Lakewood to appeal for our support in the General Election, since New Jersey is in play in a Donald vs. Hillary matchup. As such, they will have to come and hear the issues that affect Lakewood and Frum Yidden in order to possibly earn our block vote.
The ability of Frum Kehillos in America to freely learn Torah and observe Mitzvos may seriously be hampered by a few Liberal Justices placed on the Supreme Court by the next President. The impact of our voices and votes being noted at this stage of the election cycle cannot be overstated. It is crucial that we don't sit this Primary election out.
Remember, every vote counts. New Jersey voters, do your civic duty on June 7th and vote!

    Thank you,
