List of Stores where Chometz may be purchased right after Pesach

Lakewood kashrus agencies have yet to compile a list. Lakewooders are frustrated and left in the dark not knowing which stores are ok and which ones are problematic. In other cities such as Baltimore, LA, Chicago they each have a kashrus agency whose job is to service the needs of the kehilla. A Kashrus agency is not only about making money it is also about servicing the tzibbur it officially represents.
In addition to all frum stores who sold their chometz before Pesach
Below is a list of national chains Based on lists from  CRC Chicago and star-k in Baltimore. Those lists are for stores in those regions.

    1. The national chain stores are all the same. The stores on star k website are local Baltimore stores such as Dunkin donuts.

  2. Is dunkin donuts in lakewood ok too.?

  3. The ShopRite store mentioned by the Star K is ONLY the SPECIFIC one they mention. The stores that do NOT have a Kosher Experience IS A PROBLEM FOR CHOMETZ SHE'OVAR OLAV HAPESACH!

  5. Lakewooders are frustrated...

Wow. Lakewooders are really a irritable crowd. Before Pesach they are frustrated over the lack of extra garbage removal. After Pesach they are frustrated that no one made them a list of where to shop. And of course the rest the of the year they are kvetching about taxes, busing and anything else that comes their way.

If your life is so perfect that a minor inconvenience like no extra garbage pick ups of no post Pesach shopping list can cause you frustrations, count your blessings!!!

    1. The politicians and self appointed vaad and askanim claim to be there for the olam truth is they are neglecting the basic needs of the community and only taking care of themselves and their buddies. Just compare Lakewood to other communities we lack on many areas.
If they were true to be there for the yochid we would never be in the mess we are in.

    1. You are living in a bubble with your head buried in the sand. Or your a vaad stooge trying to deflect the reality in Lakewood. Your so called "important things" is enriching yourself and your cronies on the backs of hard working families and youngeleit. Who appointed the Vaad?
The frustration with things in town is palpable but of course you don't feel it when all you care about is yourself.

  9. Its amazing. Nebech some people are so farbisen ,that if others are not frustrated by not getting some lists or not getting a special garbage pickup ,then that lack,of frustration makes us bad people who only care about ourselves. These farbisene people have appointed themselves the spokesman for me and the town as to what we should be frustrated about.

    1. Nebach.. You just don't seem to get it.
You don't feel for others or understand the concept of noseh B'ol. Farbissen has nothing to do we frustration but when your Farbissen you can't understand how others feel.

  10. No you don't get it. Many of us have lived here for a long time and we manage to bring our garbage to the dump or buy our chomets with out somebody making us a list, and we don't get all frustrated by it. We don't expect everybody to do things for us. We don't get frustrated by every, little thing. For most of us ,life is too important and precious ,to spend it getting frustrated by every little thing that is not handed to you on a silver platter.

  11. The way I understand it is that local frum food sellers do not want a list of non-Jewish owned stores that did not have to come on to "selling chometz" out to Lakewood tzibur. They want their customers would remain buying from these stores that availed themselves of the legitimate koola of selling chometz. If people could easily identify local establishments that had no need to use koola of selling chometz, many would prefer to shop there.

  12. Everybody who is interested , knows which goyishe supermarket stocked up before Yom Tov. They do it every year and everybody knows about it. You just have to ask somebody.

    1. The question is not who stocked up, but rather which establishment or food chain is owned by non Jews so you dont have to rely on a heter Mechira.

  13. The store that stocked up is owned by non Jews. They do,it so that we can buy there right after pesach .

R' Shimon Eider ZT"L used to compile a list of approved stores and non approved stores for chometz purchase after Pesach.
The point of this article is that in a city as big as Lakewood, the local Kashrus establishment usually feels an אחריות to guide the ציבור in this matter, just like R' Shimon ZT"L did, and that is not happening in Lakewood (anymore).
The question is, why not, is there no אחריות felt anymore by the Kashrus agencies?

    1. Answer is because the kashrus establishment does not want to harm the people who pay them by publicizing stores that do not need to do heter of mechiras chometz. Just good business for the kashrus establishment protecting their customers the local stores who pay them for supervision.

    2. Do you work for the KCL?
Thats were you dont understand. A Kashrus agency is not about business or protecting stores its about being the for the interests of the community and making sure people have the opportunity to keep kosher and have access to kosher food. A significant amount of the tzibbur does indeed shop in other non frum owned stores dont they have a right to know what stores are ok to shop in?

    3. Nope I don't work for KCL. I'm not in any way defending the practice. But like many issues in our community in these times, it's just about business. BTW, Rabbi Eider z'l was not about business.

  15. Rabbi Eider was an individual ,not a kashrus agency. Is there such a list in Boro Park , or Williamsburg,or Monsey,or New Square or Kiryas Yoel ?
