Lakewood Blueclaws home opener tonight

Lakewood Blueclaws 2016 home opener is this evening April 14  at First energy park they will play against the Greensboro Grasshoppers. The area nearby is now a busy intersection with new stores and developments going up. The woods, quick check, Seasons and more buildings under construction will bring heavy traffic to the area. The Township leased the stadium for 175K a year for 50 years! thats a steal of a deal the rent was paid to the LIC who negotiated the lease read HERE. Nearby residents may also hear announcements during games much clearer than last year. According to the Blue Claws websites upgrades were made for the 2016 season

"The audio upgrade, which was completed last week, means that the public-address system, including music, announcements, and more, will be much clearer for fans from any location in the ballpark. "This was an upgrade that we are very excited to make," said BlueClaws General Manager Chris Tafrow. "I think the fans will immediately notice the difference as soon as they walk through the gates. It will certainly complement the new video board installed last year." Prior to the 2015 season, the BlueClaws added a brand-new, state-of-the-art, 54' x 37' video board which is more than four times the square-footage of the previous video board.

  1. I love going to Blue Claws game, they are a positive aspect of our great town and community. As the stadium was there first, if anything I feel bad for the people going to the games that might have worse traffic from all the new construction. That was just myopic planning from our town.

  2. Now that the fbi is finished with the Monsey stadium, is blue claws far behind?
