Why would the VAAD get involved in fire elections

An unusual and rare move the Lakewood Vaad makes an endorsement in the local fire elections which has little impact on the overall budget compared to all other expenses. No explanation why to vote for the chosen candidates or why they expect   people to schlep out motzei shabbos for such an important vote when the Vaad has been silent previously in more important elections. Politics as usual.

  3. The slopper guys control Larry last time they almost got a building for themselves. The poop and the slopper are attached by the hip to control the town. They made to many enemies. Don't expect them to post the Vaad endorsement. vote raitzik.

  5. Raitzik wont get it once the vaad did not endorse him. Rather vote Follman so the shopper has no control with Loigman

    1. Wrong. Raitzik has a great ground game as this is such a low turnout election. 200 votes can win it, and I am personally aware that he has over 200 people pledging to vote for him. I saw the absentee voter request list, and if anyone would take it away from Raitzik, it would be the Senior Action Group who have a senior to vote for, and not Louie or Larry. The Yeshiva endorsement works when they can get the bochurim out Bein Hasdorim. On a Motzoi Shabbos not enough people are around to vote in large numbers. Guess what. The Vaad is making themselves look bad on this one, and for no good reason. By the way, there's a smear campaign going on by Follman's goons, such as David Mizrahi, running aroung telling people that Raitzik is dropping out. I spoke with Raitzik, and he said his name is staying on the ballot, so don't be fooled by the lies. If everyone who feels the Vaad endorsement is a smack in the face to a ben Torah like Raitzik comes out and votes for Raitzik l'maan kovod HaTorah, no question Raitzik will win.
