Selective reporting

TVOL omits any mention of the Lakewood fire elections this motzei shabbos. No ads or any mention in the news section. In another omission while covering on the Rechnitz speech, TVOL reported on the Dovid Lichtensteins  headlines radio show hosting a round table discussion about the Lakewood school acceptance issues but does not mention a word about Reb Shlomo Yehuda.

  2. the voice is right this debate has nothing to do with Rtechnitz. Yes he brought up the issue and started the conversation now lets focus on the topic at hand, school acceptance policies.

  5. The irony is that the only place where you can not really have a taynah on school acceptance policies is Lakewood. Unlike new york ,in Lakewood almost all siblings get accepted regardless of scholastic ability or even if they have known issues. Furthermore most of the older larger schools probably have close to 80 percent or more just siblings. So in reality every older big school in Lakewood is not picky or elite with the first 80 per cent of their acceptances every year ,and they willingly accept all kind of problem kids from their siblings. So how can anybody with any intelligence accuse these schools of being elite or picky. If they are picky on the last 20 per cent you cant really fault them, as they essentially have no choice for the vast majority of their applicants. The newer schools for the first 3to 4 yrars dont have as many siblings but they are not the ones everybody is complaining about.

  6. Amazing! The @LakewoodScoop, the Voice of Lakewood and the Lakewood Shopper all refuse to show the #VAAD endorsements for the Fire election!
