  1. This highlights the issue a town that has an average of a few hundred births a month has no local birthing center. Most couples make on time to Monmouth, Jersey Shore but a local option would help.

    1. That's one thing chassidim will take care of. The old board of Kimball did not want to bring a NICU which is why most OBYGYN use Monmouth.

  2. Dr.Feinberg was brought to lakewood to upgrade the birthing center. He fought with the board to bring a pediatric ICU. When he was at Kimball he had hundreds of patients but high risk patients would deliver elsewhere.

    1. Dr. Feinberg was often not invlolved in deliveries himself, rather he leaned in the midwives, and his backup/partner at Kimball was not good. The lack of a NICU was not the only problem

  3. There are thousands of hospitals in United States that do not have Dr Feinberg. They don't just close down!

  4. Apparently the Board of Directors felt that the best thing for Kimbal was that it should focus on Geriatrics. Besides Acute Specialty Care was already using a big part of the hospital before. It would be the best for everyone.
