Dont fall for the threats

The scare tactics are starting, if you dont vote 10,000 kids will loose busing your taxes will go up anyways it will cost you 4-5 thousand dollars for private busing etc.. askanim are meeting and deciding which way to sell this referendum to the tzibbur the truth is more public school children will be affected by this and the district is desperate to have it passed. Enough is enough!!!!! let them cut elsewhere and figure out a way to save money and stop spending money they dont have. Lets start with the pre-k money that is doled out from the boe budget, can we see who is getting it? who gets a cut from it? lets see the books lets have total transparency so we can all make an informed decision.

  1. Let's start a collection for $5000 to mail a fact sheet to every single Lakewood resident encouraging them to vote. We can get the message out loud and clear before the election

  2. Why do you always feel the need to bash people. There is no Vaad or Igud that is even thinking of supporting this. Everybody knows it needs to be voted down.

    1. Because the vaad and igud told us to vote otherwise we lose busing.

    2. That is incorrect. The igud recommended to bote for candidates who want to be helpful to our Mosdos and not the candidates who have openly been against our Mosdos. With a state monitor nobody can guarantee busing or anything else but voting for those that openly want to hurt us is not the solution. We would definitely lose busing with the other candidates even if there eano monitor because they dont like us. So what exactly do you have against a recommendation to vote for someone who wants yo help you even uf right now the monitor is tying his hands, sd opposed to domebody who has stated that he wants to hurt your childrens education

  3. They aren't going to be able to sell this. Any support they give to the referendum will only weaken their own power. People are waking up. What have the "askonim" done for the Tzibur?

  4. all of you can keep blabbing. Those who run this town will tell the roshei yeshiva where and what letter to sign to the community and everyone will vote as they are told. So unless you can convince the roshei yeshiva that the askonim who are advising them are corrupt everything said here is HOT AIR!

  5. Not one person or mosad supports this. The monitor cant he trusted. He signed a deal ,made the Mosdos change their start times and now is reneging on a signed deal.

  6. its not nogea to the chadorim in industrial park so for those schools there is mandatory busing.

  7. Most people will retain their busing. It is not a tragedy if those that live within two miles either carpool or pay for their busing. Every other from community does it that way (brooklyn, monsey, passaic, five towns, etc). That is why the protest that occured where no one took busing one day was disingenuous.
