And the reviews are in for the soft opening

Social media mumchim talking about their new shopping experience men HERE  Ladies HERE
First look: here is one review:
They are already restocking some shelves.
Verizon Service is poor 2-3 bars/dots.
They kept a very similar layout to Shoprite!
Average isle width is 5.5 feet.
13 Checkout lanes + Customer Service desk.
No self-checkout :(
Huge sushi kitchen.
Nuts and Popcorn area, appetizing counter, "Deli & Takeout", "Fresh from The Sea", "Custom Butcher", " Freshly Baked".

  1. The place is spacious and the shelves are lower than the ones at Shoprite. Prices are not better than other Lakewood kosher supermarkets and many items are more expensive than ShopRite, Super Stop, etc. There is no self-checkout lane. The checkout lanes are staffed by kind Mexican American teenagers. Could have done without the funny looks from the yeshivish people (I'm not a white shirt person), but at least no one asked me where products are which often happens at Lakewood's other kosher supermarkets. I'll continue shopping at Walmart and ShopRite. Peace.

  3. What's so exciting to see a supermarket open? Did they create any jobs for people who live in Lakewood? Walk inside and see for yourself.jewish workers are all from out of lakewood. Just don't get it,so many localfrum people looking for jobs. Welcome to Brooklyn.

    1. What makes you think that they are not lakewood people? Do you know everyone who lives in lakewood? I personally know of 2 lakewood people who got jobs there.

  4. Place is gorgeous there is nothing close to it in other Lakewood stores. The store is quite big Imagine shop rite but a fully kosher store. Great sale items, frozen pizza on sale pride of the farm, full takeout did not see any flanken ends.all in all very nice you got me.

    1. Chill out. I guess you were never in Shoprite. They cut the store in half

  5. In order for a smooth opening it would make sense to bring in your experienced workers as opposed to training in new ones. Eventually with time im sure it would be all locals. Just my two cents

  6. Really unimpressed for the grand opening. Sushi was great...fish dept looked fresh.. Pop shop looked cool.. But that's it. Deli department was so under stocked and it looked 3 days old... Butcher department needed more products.. Things we see in NY... Schwartz's will be enjoyed by my grandmother minus the herring... All in all.. They have to bring the young guys in to let them know what the young Lakewood crowd wants. Not just a bunch of middle aged ppl. Sorry to be so harsh.
