No busing from school on Thanksgiving

Check with your school, due to the legal holiday there will be no transportation on the way home
from school. Most schools will have bus transportation in the morning on the way to school. Check for early dismissal times.

  1. As weve said before, its time to cancell board of ed bussing, lower taxes. We will pay for our own bussing, and not spend our entire year tanntzing around bussing schedules

  2. Whats the big deal, why cant u allow them to enjoy their holiday? would'nt u kick and scream if someone asked you to work on our yomim tovim? I cannot understand why we have pple making such comments. I am more then happy to pick up my kids so that the busdrivers can enjoy their thanksgiving dinner. Enough with this disgusting attitude.

    1. No one is making disgusting comments just pointing out the convenience of private busing. A few years back there was this tumult about boe busing on thanksgiving. It was the state that mandated transportation yet out of courtesy to the drivers schools will only have transportation in the morning.

  3. Many people, myself included, who work on Thanksgiving. How are we supposed to pick up our children? Yes, I work so that others can takeoff and enjoy the holiday with their family.

  4. Hello?
That is EXACTLY what RoshMosad is saying. Instead of worrying about the busing schedule of the board of Ed, let's pay for our own bussing. (By the way, the way this brilliant town is run, I can assure you that our property taxes WON'T go down if we eliminate BOE bussing.)

  5. Thete will he winners and losers. The yeshiva man with 7 kids in school who will have to pay 5000 more for busing will get choked while others will gain.

    1. The "winners" are not paying taxes while the yeshivaman with 7 kids is paying 10k a year in property taxes. The "Winners" dont care about courtesy busing as long as they get money from the BOE for their programs that are NOT state mandated.

  6. Even if you had the schools own the buses, or private busing, you won't be able to find drivers for the Holidays.

    2. That is not true, YTT has school and is closing at 4 PM today due to no bussing. They didn't have school last Friday and Sunday due to their move.
