Where are the elected officials

Forget the vaad for a moment What have the elected officials on the county and state level done to put an end to these outrageous tax referendums for the boe. We elect them again and again bring them to speak and take photo ops, yet we find ourselves in the same predicament again. Pay more taxes or loose busing. This is obviously coming from the top  at the department of education. Where is the beloved senator Booker?

  1. Booker has no say in state Government. It is Singer who should be doing something about this, He either has no interest, or hasn't cultivated the relationships necessary to get anything done. Either way he is useless and needs to go.

    1. I'm an old time Lakewooder who remembers the days that Singer really did go above and beyond on behalf of our Kehila.

I don't blame him in the slightest for not wanting to help anymore after the obnoxious treatment certain members of our kehila publicly gave him.

  2. Better yet why are they prosecuting our people for receiving help to pay tuition and not reporting as income, therefore making them intelligible for Jersey care. They are prosecuting them as if they are criminals. If they sent six kids to public school, and cost the state 60 thousand dollars, they would be eligible for assistance, but because they were given money for private tuition they are prosecuted? THAT has to stop now! And Corey Booker can stop it. And must stop it. If there ever was a time to show the state we mean business it is right now. Why did our leaders just kiss the prosecutors hand and do as they were told? Why was there no outcry for all of our friends that are being prosecuted wrongly? Why did nobody call for all Jewish children to enroll in the public school system?
A bunch of Judenrat. That is who we are led by. Willing to sell another Yid down the river for a buck. Such a shame.

    1. Thank you Hershel for saying it like it is. Unfortunately some only care about them$ elve$ and they take advantage of their leadership position to protect and enrich.

  3. Christie has no interest in helping so the elected officials can't help.

    1. Christie is a lame duck and doesn't write laws. There needs to be a bill introduced in the State Senate or Assembly. you would hope our officials would have cultivated some relationships to get votes on a bill. If they haven't, they are worthless and need to be replaced.

  4. This is total rabble rousing. If it is legal to get help and not report it then it should be fought. If it is not legal ,then what do you expect anybody to do.

  5. Most of these programs use Federal dollars. Its not easy in todays Republican Senaye and House to pass bills allowing people to be eligible for welfare programs and not have to report some income. These programs were not designed with yidishe expenses and tuitions in mind.

  6. Just an obsevation. Two weeks you voted to returned the 2 Assemblymen you are complaining about. If you keep voting for the Vaad approved candidates Lakewood will eventually become Brooklyn south.

  7. Here we go. Rabble rousing.laws are made to be changed and adjusted. If a law makes absolutely no sense, if it is not in the spirit of what it was intended for it can easily be changed if we have representatives that take some concern. Bob Singer was never concerned about doing what is needed for the good of Lakewood. He took care of those that took care of him. He does as he is told. Just like many of our appointed officials and township employees. They fear for their jobs and often will not do what is right and legal in order to keep their jobs.
Immature children That insist on protecting thieves should not ever be in any position of Power. We need representation for the concerns of all. Not a select few.
Now excuse me. I need to rabble a little. Or is it rouse? Whatever. I'll do both.
